James Anthony and Asher competed as a team in the 2025 Cannes Young Lions Competition tackling the film brief.
The brief was to raise awarenss about Saveful, a new app that empowers Aussies to save food by turning food waste into meals.
Our insight was that Aussies don’t realise that most food waste is edible. And in a cost of living crisis, that’s hard-earned money in the bin.
But unfortunately, Aussies can’t seem to put a dollar value on the food in the fridge. Once it looks old, they stop viewing it as money altogether and let it rot in the bin.
So our idea was to make Aussies realise how much money they’re losing each year by turning food into cold hard cash.
